Pete Delkus is a founding partner and serves as Project Manager for DM Renewables. With more than 20 years of experience, he specializes in developing and delivering utility-scale renewable energy and data center projects. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle—from early-stage site discovery and financial structuring through construction, commissioning, and operations.
Throughout his career, Pete has managed over 2.8 GW of wind and solar projects, overseeing critical elements such as site selection, land acquisition, energy forecasting, environmental assessments, permitting, transmission, and interconnection. In addition, he brings a strong background in fundraising, financial analysis, and project execution, making him a trusted leader in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
Pete was a founding partner of Hill Country Wind Power, a utility-scale wind developer, and later a founding partner of Clean Power Texas, a utility-scale solar developer. In these roles, he directed all major aspects of project development, including site selection, energy resource assessments, environmental and permitting processes, engineering coordination, and grid interconnection planning. His leadership helped advance multiple large-scale renewable energy projects from concept to construction readiness, establishing a strong track record in both wind and solar development.
Pete was also a founding partner at Basin Renewables, a developer focused on data centers, utility-scale solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). At Basin, he led the advancement of two flagship projects in Texas: a 600 MW utility-scale solar farm with a 400 MW BESS, fully integrated with a 400 MW hyperscale data center, and a 300 MW hyperscale campus in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. These projects highlight Pete’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale developments that combine clean energy and digital infrastructure at scale.
Pete Delkus is also Chief Meteorologist at a television station in Dallas, Texas with over 30 years of meteorology experience. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and did his Master level meteorology work at Mississippi State University. He is board certified by the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and holds a Seal of Approval from these two organizations.
